My wife was complaining that a Vietnamese bank based in Westminster (part of greater Los Angeles in Orange county California) had received one and a half million dollars when they didn’t need it. I explained that economically it only made sense for the government to give money to those responsible banks which did not need the money.

If a bank does not need money and receives funds (from any source) it will loan it out. And a local bank like this small bank knows the customers and will loan that money to small businesses which are the engines of our economy.

A wise government (another self contradictory term like military intelligence) would have let all those bad banks go under and gave money to good banks and started new banks. That way the money would go to the economy rather than in the financial thieves pockets as bonuses.

The other economic point is put all idiot treasonous congess persons (mainly the Republicans) on a slow boat to China (after all their allegiance is to the Chinese government rather than the American people).

OK why do I call these idiots traitors?

Every dollar of government spending produces one and a half dollars of extra GNP. This is because if we build a bridge, the bridge builders spend the money in the USA and that money circulates and produces more. But if we give taxes back to the people the economy only grows seventy five cents per dollar of tax reduction. This is because part of the money is saved (actually paying down the huge debt we’re already in), and the rest is spent buying goods – many of which are made in China.

But these Republican traitors insist on lower taxes. It would be much better to increase taxes on the rich (have a wealth tax) and spend the money on schools, infrastructure, developing green technologies, getting a national health service with plenty of interventions.

While I’m writing about our economic plight, how about giving up on all “Wars on.” First of all it’s bad English. More importantly every war on has failed. How about using education to prevent drug abuse (war on drugs), education and job opportunities to make the poor earn enough (war on poverty), pull out our troops out of Iraq and send in the peace core and other helpful people (war on Iraq).
