Step by step
A week ago, I got a message from my hosting company a week ago that I had more than 450,000 files on my server and I’m only allowed a maximum of 50,000. I started deleting unneeded files and soon realized that the most I could delete was about 50,000 files that way.
So I examined the Wordpress documentation and discovered a relatively easy way of reducing the number of files to about 200,000. The next step was to make changes to the code and eventually something appeared to work.
Then things kept going wrong. But step by step I changed the program. I’m not sure I succeeded or not but I’m changing the code and cutting the number files slowly but surely.
In fact as I’m writing this post I notice a couple of problems. However, if you persist you will get to your goal.
I had to take a risk to possibly lose all the data in this blog and potentially this has already happened but I’ll find out about that soon. The point is that when challenged by major issues you have to persist, take risks and understand that if you keep at it no mater what you’ll succeed in time.
One of the reasons I’m writing this post is in fact as part of my testing and between writing the last paragraph and this I managed to move one more step forward.
