Life is suffering – enjoy it
I was walking this afternoon and I don’t remember how it was. I suddenly remembered the Buddha’s statement that “life is suffering.”
Unfortunately I was having too good a time from walking meditation so I got thinking about this idea that life is suffering. Of course it is – so what.
OK, I got to a totally different mind set (a Candide mind set – the universe is the best it can ever be). So as I was continuing walking I kept thinking that if it is so – the suffering – it must be perfect.
That’s the way I feel when I am in my deepest meditation. I imagine I could change the universe in anyway I want. I end up believing it totally.
I may be scared that it would not work _ it’s like “thou shall not testy thy lod thy God…”
However, the point is that in my imagination I’m the master of the universe (no not that one – the real one) and I can change anything in it. At these times (in deep, deep meditation) I do believe that I can rewrite all things in the universe.
And at these times I know the universe is perfect. The universe does not need any changing.
So back to the walk. I knew life was suffering and enjoyable – the universe is so damned perfect.
But then it might be that I have just started another session of going through “A Course in Miracle” workbook.
