Learn health habits of Seventh-day Adventists
US Adventist men live 8.9 years longer than other American males and the women 7.5 years longer than their non-Adventist sisters. They have greater strength and stamina and feel more energetic than the rest of us. It appears that these advantages start as soon as someone starts Adventists health principles even into sixties and seventies. And they have lower incidence of disease.
So what are the longevity health habits which you too could adopt?
Here are some:
- Be a vegetarian.
- Eat a healthy breakfast as your main meal of the day – low in fat, sugar but high in vitamins, minerals and complex carbohydrates.
- Remain active and refuse to believe that aches and pains are a normal part of aging, or your metal capacity must diminish as you age.
- Eat more fruits and vegetables instead of empty and refined calories from processed foods.
- Eat less fat.
- Fast.
- Exercise.
- Reprogram your mind. Meditate, pray, be optimistic.
The Seventh-day Adventists also do not drink coffee, tea or any other caffeinated drink. As far as I know not drinking soda definitely helps with your longevity but recent research has shown that tea especially green tea is very good for you as it is full of antioxidants. Caffeine may protect against Alzheimer’s.
