Can you forgive for others?
Forgiving is the centeral aspect of Transformative Imagination which is the name for my gentle type of behavior modification and bringing out your inner magnificence which we all have. I recently wrote a post on our main Life Focus Center blog about forgiving while being in the middle of a dispute. After I wrote this a freind was in a dispute with someone else and so the question came up, “Can you forgive for others?”
First thing this is to say, “I don’t know.”
So you could ask why am I writing this post?
I want to give some points of safety. Never take on someone else’s karma or negative energy. I know so many wounded healers who have managed to help hundreds of others but ended up sick and many died of their illness. Physician heal thyself but you cannot if you have not protected yourself and taken on the karma of others.
So if you use some kind of Transformative Imagination it is important that before you start you say the protection affirmation, “I’m doing this forgiveness for the good of <here place the names of people involved> and I do not accept anyone’s karma. This is done for the good of all.”
Next you do your guided meditation or whatever else you do to forgive both sides from each other as there is never a one sided dispute. Using my “Ultra Meditation” audio is a great way of doing this. At this time the only way to get this is by coming to our office in Hacienda Heighrs and buy one. I have a goal of making this audio available (both as an mp3 download and a mailed CD) by end of January which means I only have three more days.
Anyway after doing your forgiveness using whichever technique you will, you repeat the same protection affirmation: “I did this forgiveness for the good of <here place the names of people involved> and I do not accept anyone’s karma. This is done for the good of all.” I did this forgiving for the sake of a loved one and whether it did them any good or not I don’t know. It did make me feel much better and less concerned than before. So when my friend talked to me, I could be of more help and have more empathy and sympathy without harming myself.
At the same time it is important that people who do energy work on others cleans themselves energetically after doing the work. Also in Cabala, the Jewish mystical tradition, there is a forgiving exercise you can do where you do forgiveness for a loved one who has passed away. This is supposed to heal their spirit to no end. Again not having died yet, I don’t know if this is true but when I have done that I feel much better.
In fact I’m an agnostic about life after death but since time is relative and according to quantum mechanics all is one, you do not really ever die. Again, whenever I do any Transformative Imagination work with people who are no longer living, I do get energy and peace of mind.
