In 1963 when “Love me do” first came out I was in boarding school in England and immediately we allu knew that the Beatles really did have a totally new style and a brand new sound like there’s never been before. Early on on their EPs (45 R.P.M. extended players) the Beatles covered quite a few Rock and Roll songs like Twist and Shout and Role over Beethoven. The Beatles listened to theses the way we listened to the Beatles records.
In December of 1970 McCartney brought a lawsuit to dissolve The Beatles as a legal entity, and the group broke up.
